Marihana Heloany Reis

Marihana Heloany Reis is a double major in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies and Political Science, with a minor in History. She will be presenting her senior research project, titled “Invisible Labor: Gendered and Racialized Exploitation in the U.S. Care Sector.” Her work examines how immigration status and gender intersect to shape the exploitation of migrant women in domestic labor, drawing on interviews, policy analysis, and interdisciplinary theory to highlight systemic inequalities, emotional labor, and the structural invisibility of care work in the United States.
