Marina Havriliak ’17
Marina Havriliak specializes in music supervision and editing for film and television.
Havriliak always had a passion for music and cinema.
She first realized it was what she wanted to pursue when she was in middle school after watching Lord of The Rings. At a very young age music transported her to places she had never seen or that didn’t exist, and she wants to share that experience with the world.
At Purchase, she pursued a BALA degree, combining Film, Music, and New Media and then received her master’s degree in Media Scoring at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
Combining her love of music and cinema she creates work that comes from the passion that blossomed all those years ago.
Some of her work includes music editing on the web series Salty Pirate, feature films Foster Boys, Advanced Chemistry, Madame Web, music supervising several shorts and music licensing on the podcast, This American Life.
During her time at Feirstein, Havriliak honed her skills in sound design, production sound, music production, and studio engineering.
Currently, she’s doing freelance music supervision, music editing as a member of IATSE 700, and content creation.
