Belle Martinelli

Belle Martinelli is a journalism major. She will be presenting her senior project, “Fangirl Isn’t A Dirty Word: The Cultural Force Behind the Superficial Stigma.” Her project explores the devotion and community behind the stigma of the word “fangirl,” why young girls’ interests aren’t taken seriously, and the way fangirls are rapidly changing the entertainment industry and the world.
