Kaelin Martin

Kaelin Martin is a Political Science major and multimedia artist. They will be presenting a paper titled “Let Us Make a World: Perform/deform/form in Morrison’s Desdemona.” This paper discusses how in the play Desdemona, Morrison creates expansive understandings of both reconciliation outside of punitiveness and gender as inherently nonbinary. In three movements, “Let Us Make a World” seeks to find the spaces in which Morrison creates nonbinary, fluid space to think outside of and refuse colonial fantasy.
