Karen Carroll-Ogunka

Lecturer, New Media and Mathematics and Computer Science

Karen Carroll-Ogunka (born 1978, Kansas City, Missouri) received a MScEd from Pace University in 2010 and a BA from Brooklyn College in 2003. Karen has been working in the Ed Tech space for over 20 years, mostly in New York City. She managed a Community Technology Center in Harlem, NY and ran a small technology consultant firm in the Bronx during the early 2000’s.

Karen’s professional experience includes graphic and multimedia design as well as web development. She is honored to have received the PACESetter Award for community service for her work in after school programs. Karen is also an environmentalist; she earned her Master Composter status from New York Botanical Gardens. She worked at a compost facility in 2017when she took a sabbatical from teaching and since then, has helped community gardens all over NYC with establishing and managing compost systems.​
