Brendan Rose

Brendan Rose is a Journalism Major. He will be presenting his senior project, titled To Finish the Job: The Story of Two Pandemics in Portsmouth Virginia. His project tells the story of his grandmother, who helped organize some of the nation’s first free vaccination clinics for adults when her community was in the midst of a polio pandemic in the 1950s. Bring the story to the present, he reports on the healthcare workers serving those same communities and their fight against a lack of equitable access and deeply entrenched skepticism.
