Gustavo Murillo Fernández-Valdés is an artist working across photography, video, animation, 3D rendering, digital compositing and vector graphics. In his artistic practice, he explores the material aspects of the technological infrastructures related to power by examining the technologies which are part of the global production, distribution and use of images in contexts such as mass media, artificial visual perception or artificial imagination.

Murillo Fernández-Valdés has presented projects at Shirley Fiterman Art Center, New York; Artists Space, New York; SCAN Tarragona International Photography Festival, Tarragona; Local Project, New York; Photofusion, London; and WW Gallery, London.
