Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah

Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah is the author of the New York Times-bestselling story collection Friday Black. Originally from Spring Valley, New York, he graduated from SUNY Albany and received his MFA from Syracuse University. His work has appeared or will appear in, among other places, The Paris Review, Esquire, Guernica, and The New York Times Book Review. He has been named one of the National Book Foundation’s “5 Under 35” and is a winner of the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award and a finalist for both the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Prize and the Aspen Words Literary Prize.
