September 14, 2020: Cleaning and Disinfecting Products

The beginning of a new semester, and the challenges it brings, means more people are on campus, stressing the importance of maintaining our guard and continuing to take everyday precautions to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

An everyday precaution that must be taken is routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (for example: tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks, keyboards, cell phones, two-way radios and electronics) with EPA-registered disinfectants that are appropriate for the surface.

At this time, the college has selected and is distributing “Champion Spray Disinfectant Formula 3” for use by the general campus population. A COVID-19 Cleaning Product Information page has been created that includes usage instructions as summarized from product labels. This page will be updated as needed to reflect changes in products being distributed in the event products are changed.

Reminders

• Make it a habit to disinfect work surfaces and equipment.
• Always follow label instructions. 
• Ask for assistance if unsure.
