Rob Corradi ’08
An experienced strategist, Rob Corradi ’08 (history), currently leads Mid-Atlantic Public Policy for Amazon Web Services.
Previously, Corradi founded Pen Public Affairs, where he helped leading clean energy, biotechnology, and non-profit clients turn complex challenges into impact-focused results.
He also served as Director of Public Affairs for Sun Tribe—a member of the Inc. 500 and the fastest-growing clean energy company in the Mid-Atlantic—where he oversaw the company’s work in public policy, communications, media relations, and new market exploration.
At Washington, D.C.-based CLS Strategies (Omnicom), Corradi represented Fortune 500 companies facing significant crises, ran public affairs campaigns to promote cutting-edge technologies, worked with national coalitions on integrated government relations communications campaigns, and provided media training for clients engaged in high-stakes litigation.
He placed stories and op-eds for clients in USA Today, Reuters, Forbes, The New York Post, Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and many others.
Before moving into the private sector, he served in the Obama Administration as the speechwriter for U.S. Surgeon General Murthy and Assistant Secretary for Health DeSalvo, along with their respective deputies; a consultant and Director of Critical Impact Analysis at KO Public Affairs in Baltimore; the speechwriting consultant to Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and her transition team; the Chief Speechwriter and Deputy Press Secretary for Maryland Lieutenant Governor (now Congressman) Anthony Brown; Chief of Staff to Baltimore City Councilman Jim Kraft; and for campaigns and elected officials in Illinois and New York.
A New York native, Corradi got his start at the Clinton Foundation, where he worked while a student here.
A member of the Class of 2020 of the Political Leaders Program at the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, Corradi currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Renewable Energy Alliance (VA-REA), where he is co-Chair of the Events Committee. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Solar & Storage Association (CHESSA) and the Advisory Council for the Maryland Clean Energy Center.
He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with his wife, Tabitha.
