Lily Akerman

Lily Akerman is a playwright whose work has appeared most recently at 59E59, Cork Opera House, and on the Playing-On-Air Podcast. She has written several libretti, two of which have been nominated for Best Opera by the Irish Times. Her plays have been developed with Clubbed Thumb’s Writer’s Group, the Hearth, the Bechdel Project, and the New Theatre in Dublin. She was a winner of Playing-On-Air’s 2018 James Stevenson Prize, a Finalist for the Leah Ryan Prize, and a Fulbright awardee. M.F.A. in Playwriting, Hunter College. B.A. Princeton University.
