The art medium of this original piece that I created is primarily oil pastel and watercolor. This piece represents ‘Think Wide Open’, as the unlimited interpretations that can be connected to nature. To Think Wide Open is to view life and nature in an open perspective, and to see the world in a manner that is willing to learn, interpret, and openness to change and differences. The tree, the focal point of this art piece, is surrounded by warm tones, and represents the spark that is ignited in individuals that comes from growth. As the tree, or individual, grows, it must learn to venture into the cool tones, thus being open to new experiences, ideas, and ways of life. To Think Wide Open, is to live with an open perspective, the willingness to consider different interpretations and inclination to learn.
