More About Me

Peter Polinski arrived at Purchase as an undergraduate in 2000, hailing from the greater Philadelphia area, where he initially pursued playing in various musical genres and enjoyed performing as much as possible.  He has earned a Masters Degree in Music Performance from Purchase and continues to play with musicians in jazz and contemporary styles.

Peter first joined the Academic Advising team in a joint appointment between the Advising Center and Learning Center, where he spent a great deal of time advising and tutoring undergrads. He is now the Associate Director of Advising in the Advising Center, where he enjoys working closely with undergrads and offering student support to maximize student success. Peter is currently working on texts on plants and herbal medicine and philosophy/literature. He enjoys researching and writing for that, as well as playing the piano and drums and performing music.
