Donna Conlon: Birds, Ants, Trees, and Trash

On View Spring 2027

Featuring fifteen video artworks created over the last twenty-five years, this exhibition explores the art of Donna Conlon.

Based in Panama, her work emerges as a warning about human destiny and our contradictory relationship with nature. While Conlon’s contemplation of the world attests to her background in biology, the rich variety of shapes, colors, and aesthetic compositions in her videos reveal her training in and passion for the visual arts.

Conlon was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2025, underscoring the significance of her practice. Curated by Patrice Giasson, the Alex Gordon Curator for the Art of the Americas, Donna Conlon: Birds, Ants, Trees, and Trash, is the first comprehensive exhibition in the United States dedicated to Conlon’s solo practice.

The exhibition has been made possible through the support of Bonnie and Bob Romano. Additional support has been provided by ArtsWestchester with funding made possible by Westchester County government with the support of County Executive Kenneth W. Jenkins and the Board of Legislators.
