backstory: Milestones
Well, the time has come: last kid graduates from high school.
Yes, for those of you who have known me as long as I’ve been here, that kid, the one I was pregnant with around the time you first met me. Everyone says it goes fast. I’m not sure it went fast, but I think it went well. He and the other one, who was two about the time you met me, seem relatively happy, adjusted, and hopeful about their futures. Hopeful about the future— I think that’s a pretty good thing and gives me my own peace and joy. What a milestone.
