Interior Upgrades to the Olde Apartment Complex

Working on giving our students updated and better housing options.

Project Updates as of April 27, 2026

Having recently repaired the roofs on the east side of H-Street, we are now making interior upgrades to these units. We are scheduled to complete this work before the start of the Fall semester.  Once completed, we’ll use the apartments on this side of H-Street and then begin roof replacement on the units on the west side of H-Street.

Project Overview

The Olde Complex (also referred to as Phase 1 - Stage XIV Apartments) is a complex of eight buildings (6 apartments style & 2 service buildings) construction in 1976. The roofs of these buildings have been patched over the years, but a roof restoration project is long overdue. The roof restoration project began last summer on G-Street by replacing the roofs on the east side of G-Street.  This summer we will be replacing the roofs on the west side of G-Street, with plans to begin H-Street next Spring.

Looking to take advantage of the re-roofing project, we are also going to be making interior upgrades to the units on H-Street.  This will be a multi-year process with the end result of upgrades to all of the apartments in the Olde housing complex.

This project will look at first patching any leaks in the roofs on the west side of H-Street (which is currently unoccupied).  We will then begin interior upgrades that will include remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, electrical upgrades, installing air conditioning in the common spaces, new ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and new interior finishes.

Once this work is completed, we’ll being work on the west side of H-Street since we’ll also be replacing the roofs on these buildings.   The intent is to then look at both G-Street and J-Street and replicate these upgrades.
