backstory: Learning In Public - Part II
Learning in public takes courage.
Tonight, two of our Museum interns will lead object talks during First Wednesday, sharing their research and reflections in the galleries. These are not rehearsed lectures. They are conversations grounded in scholarship and shaped by experience.
An earlier cohort of interns worked alongside Curatorial Assistant Rem Ribeiro to help shape our upcoming exhibition, Guerrilla Girls: Food for Thought. They will also help lead the question-and-answer portion of an upcoming Artist Talk with a representative of the collective.
This is what real work feels like: framing a question. Holding a room. Translating research into language that invites others in.
Through our Open Classroom program and partnerships across campus, the Museum is a site where students test their voices and audiences become part of the learning process.
Come be part of it.
