backstory: Learning In Public - Part I
We love when the Neuberger is filled not only with art, but with student energy.
Tomorrow, as part of our Open Classroom program Sculpting Dance: Martha Graham & Isamu Noguchi, Purchase College dancers will perform among Noguchi’s set elements for Dark Meadow (1946). Student musicians will activate the galleries. Graduate scholars will examine the artistic partnership between Graham and Noguchi, a collaboration that redefined how modern dance occupies space.
The Museum’s Open Classroom program encompasses the myriad ways in which we partner across campus to provide a vibrant space for learning, where ideas grow and skills sharpen.
It is exciting to watch.
There are still a few seats left for tomorrow’s performance. Join us. Feel the energy for yourself.
