backstory: Quiet momentum
There is a quiet momentum to the Museum this season.
The galleries are being refreshed. Exhibitions are unfolding with new and familiar works seen from fresh angles. Some days invite conversation and shared looking; others offer space for reflection, drawing, or simply sitting with color and light.
Visitors arrive for many reasons and often discover more than they expected: a midweek pause during a First Wednesday or a Wellness Wednesday meditation, a hands-on Vitality Arts workshop, a brief Drop-In Tour that opens into a longer curiosity. At times the Museum becomes an extension of the classroom itself, as students and faculty activate the galleries through the Open Classroom—later this month in partnership with the Conservatory of Dance, where art history and movement meet in dialogue around American dancer and choreographer Martha Graham.
The calendar is less a list than a rhythm, suggesting that whenever you step inside, something is already in motion.
Come visit.
