New Roofs for G-Street in the Olde Apartment Complex
Addressing our aging roofs at the Olde apartment complex.
Project Updates as of August 10, 2026
The contractor is completing their work on the roofs on the Lincoln Avenue side of G-Steet. New skylights that go over the entryways into the upper apartments have arrived on site and are being installed. Work is scheduled to be completed prior to the start of the Fall semester.
Project Overview
The Olde Complex (also referred to as Phase 1 - Stage XIV Apartments) is a complex of eight buildings (6 apartments style & 2 service buildings) construction in 1976. The roofs of these buildings have been patched over the years, but a roof restoration project is long overdue. This project will look into addressing these issues. The design will address seven of the building’s roofs (one of the service building roofs was replaced under a recent DASNY project). Implementation of these repairs will be done in a phased approach, with the two buildings on G-Street being part of this initial phase (given it’s in the worst shape). Future implementation phases will address the other buildings.
