backstory: Cool and colorful
This week has been a bit nicer, but geez, it’s been hot. Super hot. Humid, too.
Like most of us, I’ve been seeking out cool…but also color. Color because the heat just seems to bleach things out. But in the Museum, it’s cool and the colors don’t fade. Vivid reds, oranges, yellows, and blues in the paintings by Schueler, Louis, and Hartigan in Then and Now. The glowing lights of Proscenium and the works in Light Art. These all remind me how bright and cool the Museum can be. So, if you’re hot and need a place that’s cool and calm— go to a museum. Preferably, of course, the Neuberger.
