backstory: Welcome!

Mary-Kate O’Hare has been appointed as the new Susan E. Lynch Executive Director and CEO of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut, effective April 7, 2025.

Bruce Museum…you are so lucky.

For those of you who may not have heard, our neighbors over at the Bruce Museum have selected their next director, Mary-Kate O’Hare. And they could not have made a better choice. Mary-Kate and I have known each other for decades, having come up together in our doctoral work and having enjoyed a close friendship for a very long time. Mary-Kate is extremely talented and wise. And how exciting that the Bruce is welcoming their first female director.

Welcome to our local museum community, Mary-Kate. So glad to have you so nearby.
