Creating a New Home for Admissions

Relocating Admissions to the campus’ new Entry Pavilion for better access and services.

Project Overview

The Heritage Site, located on the southwest side of the campus, consists of several original buildings from when the campus was a working farm. One of those buildings is the Administration Building, a three-story wood-framed building constructed in 1912. The building use to houses the Admissions department, along with a few other professional staff.

In order to begin exterior renovations on the building, it was determined we would need to relocate the occupants.  For the Admissions group, we found under-utilized spaces in the new CMFT Entry Pavilion lobby and Passage Gallery that would be a good fit, if renovated to their needs.

This allowed us to relocate the Admissions staff out of the Administration building thus reducing the number of occupants in the building and freeing up space to start the work on the exterior shell. It also allows us to maximize space efficiency, by taking advantage of the newly renovated visitor parking lot in W1 and entrance to CMFT, and added the necessary offices, meeting space and welcome area in the lobby and Passage Gallery areas. This gives visitors and tours easy access to the Plaza.
