Along with her recent successes, Congress was the co-writer of the three-minute comedy “I Can’t Hear You,” which was awarded Best Comedy in the Jersey Shore Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.  Not best “short” comedy—BEST COMEDY!

We often say it takes ten years of sticking with it to start getting traction as a writer.  Sarah is right on track. Congrats!

Sarah’s ten-minute play Atlantics Pharmaceuticals was produced in the International Human Rights Festival at The Tank theatre (December 10, 2023).

Her play Overdose won 2nd place for BEST SHORT in the 2023 Downtown Urban Arts Festival festival at Playwright’s Horizon (June 2023).

Congress also co-wrote the screenplay “I Can’t Hear You,” second-place winner in “AP in 3 Film Challenge” in Asbury Park (screened October 22, 2023).

She just had four performances of her comedy Fresh Kills at the LUV festival at the Player’s Theatre (Feb 22–25, 2024).

By day, she works as the Interim Program Administrator for Theatre at Columbia University, School of the Arts.
