Roof Rehabilitation at the Library

Addressing ongoing leaks and other problems, while also making the building more energy efficient.

Project Update as of April 14, 2025

We have awarded construction to Armor-Tile Construction Corporation.  They have begun construction.  We are anticipating construction to be completed Spring 2026.

Project Overview

The existing single-ply EPDM roofing system on our Library flat roof areas has reached the end of its useful life expectancy and suffers from numerous leaks and deterioration. This compromises the integrity of the roofing system and is leading to interior damage and moisture infiltration into the building.

This project will address the leaks and stop any further interior damages and deterioration into the building. The existing central skylight will be reviewed and possibly re-designed.  The new roofing system will also increase the energy efficiency of the building, leading to saving in energy costs.
