Academic Restroom Rehabilitation Project - Phase 3
The third phase of renovations to several of our academic building restrooms to upgrade them to ADA compliance and sustainability standards.
Project Overview
The existing restrooms in many of our academic buildings were original to the buildings and had exceeded their useful life. There had been some periodic upgrades over the years, but many were still in poor condition and need of rehabilitation. The project rehabilitated these a number of them to be ADA compliant and address sustainability issues by bringing them up to today’s standards.
Project Scope
The project included full renovations to over (30) restrooms on campus in the Music, Natural Science and Social Science buildings, both Campus Center North and South, Physical Education, the Library, and the Main Dining Hall. Renovations included removal and replacement of existing toilet and urinal fixtures, lavatories, toilet partitions, ceilings and light fixtures, and wall and floor finishes.
As the buildings was occupied while the work occurs, the project was be phased so that occupants would still have access to working restrooms, with the majority of work occurring over multiple summers.
