Brandon Buffong ’22

The faculty of the Playwriting and Screenwriting program has selected Brandon Buffong as the department’s Senior of the Year.  

This past January Brandon received his BA in Playwriting and Screenwriting with a minor in Psychology. Brandon had been a talented writer from the start, and his work has only grown over time, that, and his growth as a person, have made him a favorite among his professors and fellow students. His senior project screenplay, Snow White and the Seven Bullets​, is a revisionist western that his mentor deems one of our program’s best senior projects ever. Brandon used this senior project to apply to and receive a Black Writers in Focus Fellowship, one of only four selected from hundreds of applicants nationwide. This significant award has led to Brandon making substantial inroads into the Los Angeles film world. ​Brandon also grew into a wonderful and generous contributor in class, given insightful and well-received comments to his fellow students. He has a very bright future in front of him and we look forward to his future successes.
