backstory: Purchase Pride
As we continue to slide between new openings and new mask mandates, while continuing to strive for new normalcy, I thought I’d share this NYCNext video with you that was shared with me earlier this week by my good friend and Purchase College colleague Pete Malinverni.
I love the way the cadence of the music changes the nature of the song from a range of what so many of us NYC-goers and -dwellers took for granted to a range of what so many of us now long for. What’s so special about the video to all of us here at Purchase, though, is that it includes one of our incoming jazz students, Anaïs Reno. Our students are so talented.
