backstory: Faculty obligation

This week marks the “return” of the faculty to Purchase College and I’m so glad to be seeing many of my colleagues again, but it is certainly a different kind of return, since we’re all mostly remote and on Zoom.

Maybe some folks had a sense back in the middle of March, when we left to work remotely, that we’d be starting the new year mostly remotely, but I sure didn’t. It’s odd. Very odd. But safer, for sure.
