backstory: Closed for a bit

The Neuberger is a public institution that relies very heavily on private funding (no … this isn’t going to be a fundraising pitch so no need to hit the delete button). At the same time, we are also supported by our parent institution in very meaningful ways.
One of those ways is through infrastructural projects. Over the summer, through a generous infusion of capital funds from SUNY, we will launch a much needed project, a wiring initiative that will enable us to better serve you by creating more robust interfaces both inside the museum and across our digital platforms.

The only downside is that for this particular project, which will be a bit dusty, we’ll have to close in order to protect the artwork. So, as of today, we’ll be closed for the rest of the summer. In the meanwhile, I’ll keep writing.
