Music: MM

For gifted musicians and composers destined for professional careers, we offer graduate studies in the Conservatory of Music leading to a Master of Music (MM) degree. The areas of study* are classical instrumental performance (brass, percussion, strings, harp, woodwinds, classical guitar, and piano), classical composition, voice and opera studies, jazz studies, and studio composition.

Music: Artist Diploma

Our post-master’s programs are for graduate students in music who have completed the master’s degree requirements for Instrumental Performance, Jazz Studies, and Voice and Opera Studies.

Music: Performer’s Certificate

This is a postbaccalaureate program for students who have completed the undergraduate requirements for Instrumental Performance, Jazz Studies, and Voice and Opera Studies and are entering into careers as performers in solo, ensemble, or studio settings.

Spring: Jazz Studies, Instrumental Performance, Voice and Opera Studies, and Classical Composition majors only. No Studio Composition. 

Application Requirements

• Application and Pre-Screening Audition Submission: $142 (plus processing fee)
• Letter of recommendation (no more than three should be provided)
• Details for Pre-Screening and Live Auditions

Live Online Auditions: By Invitation Only

• Spring applicants will be notified of results of their application by December 1. There are no live online auditions conducted for spring applicants.
• Fall applicants will be notified of results of pre-screening auditions by February 5.

Students selected for live online auditions will be notified by email and applicants will be able to register for a live audition date.
