Angela Galli
“Throughout my years at Purchase, I realized how hand-in-hand arts management and economics actually are. Economics is used in everything. I work for a major record label analyzing large data sets and looking for trends, which is similar to how it is in economics.”
Angela Galli ’19 is the Senior Manager, Content Protection and Anti-Piracy at Warner Music Group.
Galli grew up as a musician, playing the piano and trombone, but later realized she wanted to pursue the business side of the music industry.
The Arts Management program was a vital step in Galli’s career. As a student here, she had the opportunity to intern at well-known entertainment organizations, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blue Note Entertainment Group, and The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, among others.
The program prepared her to take on the exciting and ever-changing music industry with confidence.
Before assuming her role at Warner, Galli was the Lead Agent of Copyright Administration at TuneCore, the world’s leading digital music aggregator, where she guided the rights department in investigating copyright infringement claims and educating clients and third parties on Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) policies.
