Katie Thorn

Biography

Katie Thorn is a New York and Boston-based Stage Manager and Lighting Technician. During her last four years at Purchase, Katie has held positions in various departments in the Conservatory of Theater Arts, working at every level of Stage Management, as well as working within the lighting and sound departments.

During her time at Purchase, she worked on a wide range of productions as part of the Stage Management team, including a multi-space show, two repertory productions, dance shows, two outdoor performances, and a workshop. During the last three summers, Katie has worked as an electrician and spotlight cue caller at Bard College’s SummerScape in Annandale-On-Hudson, NY.

In addition to working as a Stage Manager and Lighting Technician, she has found a passion for Intimacy Coordination/Direction. Katie is currently a part of the Intimacy Professional Accelerator Program with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, with an anticipated completion of June 2025.
