Casey is a stage manager from Queens, New York. She earned her BFA in Theatre/Design Technology with a concentration in stage management. Casey has worked on many shows during her time at Purchase, most notably, Pride and Prejudice (PSM), Senior Showcase (PSM), and How to Defend Yourself (SM). Over the past four years at Purchase College, she has made meaningful connections with peers and professors while strengthening her knowledge of the theatre industry.
Casey dedicated her high school years to studying film production at The Academy for Careers in Television and Film. She pivoted to theatre, specifically stage management, after joining Open Stage Project’s Act 2 program. Here, she enhanced her leadership and problem-solving skills while being mentored by Broadway professionals. She was selected for Open Stage Project’s Act 3 fellowship, a highly competitive backstage program, where she worked on The Jimmy Awards and other professional experiences.
Last summer, Casey had the privilege of being a stage management apprentice at Theatre Aspen. During her time in the apprenticeship program, she worked on Theatre Aspen’s three mainstage shows, as well as their cabarets. Casey has enjoyed her last four years at Purchase College and is thankful for all of the experiences the Design/Technology program has opened for her. She looks forward to exploring new opportunities and taking on challenges in the near future.
