Arlenis Marmolejos

Hi I’m Arlenis! I am a proud first-generation Dominican college student and a rising senior. I’m currently pursuing a double major in Journalism and Law & Justice Studies as I work towards my undergraduate degree. As an active contributor and managing editor of The Purchase Phoenix, the campus’ official digital newspaper, I find great fulfillment in shaping stories with purpose and integrity. Beyond academics, I enjoy expressing myself through creative writing, particularly poetry. I am an enthusiastic and active learner who loves discovering new ideas and staying engaged in various activities, especially those related to fitness. My favorite quote is “Adversity is preparation for greatness” by Andy Andrews. ​
