Sèyivè Sevean Afoutou
Sèyivè Sevean Afoutou is an independent project manager who is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating and executing projects of various sizes and scope in both the business and cultural sectors. She specializes in the organization and management of international projects and programs, an expertise she brought to her position as National Coordinator for the Fulbright-Hays Group Project Abroad.
Afoutou earned an advanced diploma in the fundamentals of private law from the University of Abomey-Calavi and a master’s degree in strategic management and publicity from Haute Ecole of Commerce and Management in Benin. Among her many awards and fellowships, Afoutou is a 2022 alumna of the US government’s prestigious Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) as well as a Mandela Washington Fellowship recipient. Most recently, Afoutou was selected to undertake a Digital Defenders fellowship in French speaking African countries, where she will deepen her knowledge of digital facilitation and internet security. Her passion for well-being and mental health, especially that of women, led her to create Espace Ashaki, a wellness and beauty center in Cotonou, Benin, where she is managing partner.
