Donnie Mather

Lecturer of Theatre and Performance

Donnie Mather is an actor who specializes in physical and collaborative approaches to actor training and devised theatre. Donnie has over 25 years experience with Suzuki & Viewpoints—training with Anne Bogart, SITI, Tina Landau, and Mary Overlie. He has taught at the Atlantic Acting School, NYU, Columbia, Harvard, Wesleyan, NYCDA, Bard, Fordham, New School, Marymount, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, and The National Theatre Institute at the O’Neill Theatre Center. Internationally, Donnie has worked with artists throughout Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Thailand, and Turkey. Donnie has performed with SITI Company (Associate Artist for 6 years), Our Voices Theater, WeildWorks, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, NYC Opera, LA Opera, International WOW Company, and En Garde Arts. His original work includes A SHOW OF FORCE. He is the founder of The Adaptations Project performing in KADDISH (OR THE KEY IN THE WINDOW) based on the poem by Allen Ginsberg. Currently, he is building and launching Winwick Studio—an artist residency in upstate New York.
