Kai Liebenstein

Kai Liebenstein was born in Zhejiang, China, and raised in Milwaukee, WI. Since the age of four, she has attended Art schools. Throughout the years she has worked in numerous realms of the Arts, from visual arts to graphic design, creative writing to poetry, and performing to production work. She is never content with standing still and is always looking for her next engaging, creative project. A constant in Kai’s work is her passion and motivation for storytelling. She advocates strongly for honest artistic expression, resulting in her work having a highly personal approach and perspective. 

Kai has just made her Broadway debut as a Production Assistant on the new comedy, POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. Previous Purchase Rep credits include Purgatorio Wonderland (PSM), Everything You Love (SM), The Laramie Project (ASM), Bastille Day (ASM), and Earthquakes in London. Other credits include Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s productions of Everybody (ASM) and the World Premiere of Lost Girl (ASM). 

Over the past two years, Kai has served as a Theatre Design/Technology student representative for the Conservatory of Theatre Arts, Anti-Racism Taskforce. She has also obtained an Entrepreneurship Certificate from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
