Karley Gabriel (she/her)

Doctoral Graduate Extern, Cornerstone Program

Karley Gabriel is a Doctoral Extern for the Cornerstone Program within the Office of Disability Resources at Purchase College. Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, Karley provides individualized academic, self-management, and social skills coaching, serves as a liaison between students, faculty, and staff, and co-leads weekly groups. Karley is currently studying school-community psychology at Hofstra University. 

Prior to joining Purchase College, Karley worked as a School Psychologist and Behavior Intervention Specialist at United Cerebral Palsy where her responsibilities included completing psychoeducational evaluations and therapeutic services for people with developmental disabilities of all ages. Karley also provides Early Intervention services for children on the autism spectrum. Through Hofstra, Karley provides court-mandated and trauma-informed psychotherapy for children and teenagers. Karley is passionate about disability justice, neurodiversity, and accessibility, and hopes to continue to work with people on the autism spectrum upon her graduation.

In Karley’s free time, she enjoys playing video games, rollerskating, as well as singing and playing bass, guitar, piano, and ukulele.
