Jeana Scotti

Jeana Scotti is a playwright, producer, and educator. She is a co-founder of Ugly Face, a theatre company that presents work in alternative spaces. Her work as a playwright has been performed and developed with Clubbed Thumb, Rutgers University, The Brick Aux, The Bechdel Group, Fresh Ground Pepper, Dixon Place, The Tank, Access Theatre, Horse Trade Theatre, and Theater for a New City. She was a member of Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writers’ Group and New Perspectives’ Women’s Lab. She is a New Georges Affiliated Artist. She currently lectures at the Maggie Flanigan Studio and has also taught playwriting at Rutgers University. She is also a teaching artist to younger students.
