Evan Adamson
Lecturer of Theatre Design/Technology
Evan Adamson is a New York City–based Scenic Designer and Art Director for live entertainment & television. A graduate of the Theatre Design/Technology conservatory program at SUNY Purchase, he holds a BFA in Scenic Design.
Evan’s work spans a wide range of high-profile live events and performance venues, including the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Times Square, and the Emmy Award–nominated Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He has also contributed to productions at the Metropolitan Opera and currently serves as an Art Director for The Tonight Show at NBC.
A dedicated theater artist, Evan has built an extensive career on Broadway as an Associate Scenic Designer, contributing to more than 20 productions over the past two decades. In this role, he has played a key part in the development, execution, and realization of scenic designs for numerous productions, many of which have been recognized with Tony Awards for Best Scenic Design. In addition to his Broadway work, he has designed over 100 productions at leading regional theaters across the United States and has worked internationally throughout Europe and Asia.
