Evan Adamson

Lecturer of Theatre Design/Technology

Evan Adamson is a New York City–based scenery designer for theatre and live entertainment.  A graduate of the Theater Design/Technology conservatory program at SUNY Purchase (class of 2003), he holds a BFA in Scenic Design.

In the years since graduation, Evan’s experience has spanned a wide range of endeavors, from the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City, to the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Times Square to the Emmy nominated Opening Ceremonies at the Winter Olympics in Russia.

Evan’s true passion is designing for the theatre, where he has consistently worked and collaborated on Broadway for the past 10 years.  As an Associate Set Designer to renowned artists such as Santo Loquasto, Es Devlin and Bob Crowley, he has contributed to 15 Broadway Productions, more than half of which were nominated for, or won the Tony Award for Best Set Design.
Additionally, he has designed over 100 productions regionally in the U.S., and he has worked extensively abroad in both Europe and Asia.  Evan is a proud member of United Scenic Artists - Local 829.
