Chelsie Sutherland
Chelsie Sutherland was born and raised in Detroit Michigan.
She knew she wanted to be an actor after she was accepted into Cass Technical High School. There she met Tony Award winner Marilyn McCormick, the drama teacher at Cass. First, Chelsie helped out with productions by doing spotlight, sound and being a prop master. After she finished working behind the scenes of the production Ruined (by Lynn Nottage and directed by McCormick), she knew she wanted to be an actor. Ruined opened her eyes to how powerful acting is, they gave a voice to the voiceless.
She wants to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support. She also wants to give a very special thanks to her mother Cheryl Sutherland.
She dedicates her final show at Purchase to her late grandfather Eugene G. Moore
