Christina Butan ’17 stumbled upon the The Beat online during her college search—it was one of the main reasons she decided to attend Purchase.

Four years later, the journalism major is now the publication’s editor-in-chief. The Beat is a magazine dedicated to arts and culture at Purchase, both online and printed semi-annually.
