Daniel Bravo Hernández ’24 and Caleb Joshua Eberhardt ’12 will appear in this summer’s Shakespeare in the Park production of Romeo and Juliet.


Daniel Bravo Hernández ’24 stars as Romeo and Caleb Joshua Eberhardt ’12 as Mercutio in the summer 2026 Shakespeare in the Park production of Romeo and Juliet.

For more than 60 years, The Public Theater has been presenting free Shakespeare productions in Central Park’s Delacorte Theater. Hernandez and Eberhardt join an esteemed list of Shakespeare in the Park alumni.

Daniel Bravo Hernández Hernández made his Broadway debut in the Circle in the Square production of Romeo + Juliet as Abraham in fall 2024.

He also appeared in Much Ado About Nothing as Claudio in The Public Theatre’s Mobile Unit in 2025, and he recently finished a run at the INTAR Theater in the world premiere of Spread.


Caleb Eberhardt '12 sits in a chair against dark background. For Eberhardt, this role marks his Public Theater debut. He’s currently appearing in Cherry Lane Theater’s production of You Got Older, extended through the end of April 2026.

He’s appeared on Broadway in the 2024 revival of An Enemy of the People, at the Circle in the Square Theater, for which he earned a Drama League nomination, and the Manhattan Theater Club’s Choir Boy in 2019. He received a Drama League nomination and an Obie Special Citation for his off-Broadway role in The Comeuppance in 2018.

Eberhardt also records music under the name Rosehardt.
