Chris Perfetti ’12 Lands Role on ABC Sitcom
Abbott Elementary follows public school teachers in Philadelphia to critical acclaim.
Chris Perfetti ’12 had his professional stage debut in Roundabout Theatre Company’s critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Sons of the Prophet, just two months after graduation.
From there, he’s landed both roles on both stage and screen. In Abbott Elementary on ABC, he plays Jacob Hill, a woke history teacher in a West Philadelphia school in this workplace sitcom that’s showing promise. The show uses the mockumentary style employed by iconic comedies such as The Office and Modern Family.
The Hollywood Reporter says, “Abbott Elementary already feels like a reliable source of laugh-out-loud moments, thanks to sharply drawn characters and a winning cast.”
