A. Dean Bell, Associate Professor of Practice and co-chair of Playwriting and Screeenwriting at Purchase is the associate producer of a new documentary “Blind Trust,” currently airing on PBS affiliates in cities across the country. The film profiles Voltan Vamik, a 5-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee for his work with nations in conflict.  He has brought the principles of psychotherapy to mediate conflicts in Serbia, Palestine and other countries.  The film is especially meaningful today as Vamik explores the tactics authoritarian leaders use to divide and polarize populations.  Bell has consulted with Director Molly Castello over many years in making the film which has also garnered the Sidney Halpern Award in Psychohistory and the Gradiva Award, which recognizes artistic excellence in psychology and psychotherapy.
