Asst. Professor Lori Wekselblatt Backstage at New York’s City Center

At the New York’s City Center this fall, Purchase alumni, faculty and students were well represented.

Assistant Professor of Theatre Design/Technology Lori R. Wekselblatt is stage manager with two alumni from design/tech by her side. She’s pictured here with renowned American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland.

Copeland appeared in a one night only special guest appearance, performing a work created by Kyle Abraham ’00, choreographer and founder of the company A.I.M. Abraham is a Mac Arthur Fellow, a Ford Fellow, and winner of a Princess Grace and Bessie Award, among many others.

A.I.M.’s program also features work performed by Tamisha Guy ’13 and Marcella Lewis ’16 (dance), both Princess Grace Award winners.

And A.I.M. company member Keerati Jinakunwiphat ’16 created a new work, Big Rings, for the show.
