New Recipients of the PSC’s Professional Development Grant

SLATE Innovation Summit. Chicago, IL.  June 19 – 21, 2019 

Congratulations to  Anna Valinoti and Diego Garcia-Fresco who will be attending the  SLATE Innovation Summit. Anna and Diego are grant recipients of the Professional Staff Council’s Professional Development Grant. Together they will attending the SLATE conference in Chicago, IL.  from  June 19 – 21, 2019.
The conference will bring an anticipated 3,000 admissions counselors, operations staff, technical staff, directors and deans of admission, vice presidents of enrollment, and advancement staff together  that will cover best and emerging practices across Slate, admissions, advancement, and higher education.

About the recipients:
“I started at Purchase College in December of 2014.  I work on the Admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which involves, the application review process, email and text communications to prospective students, creation of events and many other functions that not only help admissions but other offices such as Orientation, Registration, Conservatory Programs and Student Services.  Prior to working at Purchase I worked at SUNY Oneonta for 9 years in their Admissions Office as well.   I’m happy to be working at Purchase College with such great Admissions Staff.”

“I started working at Purchase College in 1999. I was a Programmer/Analyst working for Computer and Telecommunication Services (CTS). In 2011 I took the position of Operations Manager at the Office of Admissions. Now, I divide my work between two areas, still at the Admissions Office as a Data Manager and Budget Manager. I oversee the daily and ongoing operations of the admissions database (SLATE), including maintenance of data integrity, security and optimization of performance; design and development of trend data reports, inquiry management systems, technical rules related to admissions processes and many other tasks related to the management of our CRMS (Customer Relationship Management System. I also analyze financial information (revenues, expenditures) to ensure all operations are within budget and forecast future budget needs. Prior to working at Purchase I worked at the National Bank of Argentina and at the Argentinean Air Force as a Systems Analyst for 8 years.”
