Purchase Dramatic Writer/PWSW grad Bryan Korn (’12) launches new Netflix animated series “Hilda”.  The first season of 13 episodes premiered on Sept 21.

According to Bryan– “I’m so proud of this amazing series – we set out way back in 2013 to develop Luke Pearson’s amazing indie comics into a fantasy adventure show with a kickass female lead and a commitment to the series emotional realism. A lot of networks turned us down for that very reason but we found a home with Netflix and impossibly were able to make exactly the show that Luke and we wanted to make. “

Bryan did great work while at Purchase and now continues as  a creative producer at Silvergate Media, an independent children’s television production company, where he supports production and development of animated series. He also worked extensively on the sci-fi preschool series Octonauts, which airs on Disney Jr.
