Alumni Awards Committee

Working with the Office of Alumni Engagement, faculty, staff and College leadership, the responsibility of the Awards Committee is to identify and nominate alumni for recognition with one of the Association’s leadership awards. A class of special awards will be established to recognize Purchase College alumni, which will be presented at an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association.

Bylaws & Governance Committee

The Bylaws and Governance Committee shall review the current Bylaws and determine whether such Bylaws are in need of revision. It is that responsibility of the Bylaws Committee to revise the Bylaws and submit such revised Bylaws to the Board for consideration, review and comment prior to disseminating the revised Bylaws to the Association for approval by a vote at the Annual Meeting.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee works to expand the reach of the Office of Alumni Engagement to alumni. The Committee promotes on- and off-campus programs and events such as Alumni Weekend and Class Reunions, marketing campaigns for contact updates, etc., and other programs and events. The Committee assists other Alumni Board committees with outreach for their programs and events. The Committee spreads the word about the Alumni Association, upcoming events, programs, and volunteer recruitment via email, phone, social media, in person, print and other channels.

Graduates of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.)

The G.O.L.D. Committee is dedicated to planning programs and events to engage students and recent graduates. G.O.L.D. stands for graduates of the last decade. These initiatives introduce current students and alumni to the benefits of being a part of the wider SUNY Purchase community. This committee helps raise interaction between both groups to the importance of philanthropy, giving back to the campus community, and increasing networking between current students and alumni.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee shall be chaired by the Vice President and comprised of other directors and/or voting members of the2corporation. The Nominating Committee shall be responsible for the research, recruitment and nomination of candidates for all available seats on the board of directors and shall present a slate of nominees for such seats to the voting members at least thirty days prior to the expiration of the terms of the then-current directors.

Volunteer to join one of these groups
